The center is covered with a sandblasted glass slab. Late Art Deco, circa 1940/1950.
In very good condition, from a family home where it had never been owned.
The electrical system was originally a textile cable; it has been replaced with modern wiring (2 x 0.75²), and the lacquered paint is identical to the original (off-white/ecru).
The chandelier was installed with its double chain; its initial configuration probably ends at the first ceiling rose. (It is easy to remove the chain that reaches the ceiling.)
