Dating to the 1800s, this set of four small painted cast iron vases are a French version of Medici vases. The unmistakable form of Medici vases is captured eloquently with large lobes on the lower body and the slightly rolled rims with egg and dart motif. The vases have been painted French blue, which has tones of gray, which when combined with the oxidation, gives the vases an unrepeatable palette.
