The single plank top overhangs significantly on the shorter sides, but the two longer ends have less of a projection, allowing the table to be positioned in less spacious areas. Beneath is a frieze consisting of four belt drawers with pendant pulls and shallow geometric carvings, which are good indicators of the age and origin of the table, as these are hallmarks of 18th century Spanish tables. The same can be said of the wide, open lyre trestle legs that are festooned with subtle fretwork.
