Schinkel (Karl Friedrich Schinkel, Neuruppin 1781–1841 Berlin), Berlin, circa 1825/35. Mahogany finely carved with palmettes, rosettes, and decorative friezes. The rectangular seat features delicate bolsters and a retractable footrest on saber legs with casters. The high, tapered backrest features side wings and upholstered, distinctively rolled armrests.
