This hand-painted vase features the iconic Canton Rose medallion style, richly decorated with vibrant floral sprays, peonies, butterflies, birds, and fruiting branches, all set against a scrolling foliate ground and accented with gilded highlights.

The vase’s dramatic lobed flared rim enhances its visual presence, while the intricate detailing and saturated colors exemplify the artistry of early 20th-century Chinese porcelain. The design is composed of alternating cartouches—each framing naturalistic scenes of songbirds and blossoms—surrounded by a lively pattern of butterflies, scrolling vines, and auspicious symbols.
