Pairpoint ball shaped inkwell with the controlled bubble pattern that became synonymous with the company. The glass was blown around a molded form to create a receptacle for the ink. The bottom is ground. The sterling silver top is by Knowles Company and has a repousse design without a monogram. The collar is marked sterling along with the silver companies makers mark.
