This vintage California pottery vase or vessel is hallmarked BellAire on the bottom and dated '77.
It has a very mid century modern vibe and look. Marc Bellaire was born 1925 in Toledo, Ohio and studied at the Toledo Museum of Art. While he was doing that he was also employed at the Libby Glass Factory. He then moved to California in the 50's and opened up a studio in Culver City. This vase or vessel maybe from the Luau series. Marc produced high quality ceramics decorated with geometric patterns. The play of colors of pink, green, brown and off white make for a look that is reminiscent of the 50's. A great decorative object ceramic or pottery object.
