This beautifully crafted set was designed and manufactured by W.C Vaughan Co. in Boston. Note, how the brass rosettes conceal the screws holding the rosettes in place. A clever and seamless design at the time. The W. C. Vaughan Co. manufactured furniture and builder's hardware from archives and examples found in New England and homes along the Atlantic seaboard.

This set has been beautifully polished and has a nice mellow shine throughout. In very good antique condition with normal wear from age and use. The spindle allows knobs to be easily adjusted to fit doors from 1” to 1.5” thick. This purchase will include two door knobs, two set screws, two rosettes and a threaded spindle. This set is very characteristic of the superior craftmanship still prevalent at the turn of the century.
