This solid brass vase or planter hails from the mid 20th century and is shaped like a pumpkin. The hammered brass has a pink tone to it which makes one think it’s copper. The pink cast is actually from the amount of zinc used in making the brass. The body has brass “ribs” and the top opening is surrounded by a brass ring.
This is a very unusual piece and catches the eye whether filled with greenery or not.
