A cheerful giltwood mirror composed of turned elements embellished with applied decorative and dimensional florets. Small repoussé rosettes and painted designs enhance the squared corners. Bright original gilding over black clay bole. The mirror retains its original mirror plate and original wooden back. Ca. 1830. Nice size for a powder room mirror. Good antique condition with signs of age: some rubbing to the gilding, wear to the edges and light streaking and slight desilvering to the mirror plate.
