Round foam sofa that converts to a bed. Designed by Frank W. Petersilie for Spherical Furniture Co. in the 1970s. Base is foam and cover is grey/white stripe fun fur with fabric on the seat of the couch, under the half moon cushion. Back of couch is attached with fabric to allow flipping into bed. Foam is intact, there are some tears and water stains in the other fabric and the fun fur covering is loose from the back of the couch.. Lightweight and easy for one person to move.
There are six total parts to this item: one main portion where the back is attached and flips forward to create the bed; two pie shaped ottoman pieces for footstools and the bed; one half moon shaped seat cushion, and two back rest cushions.
The sofa is very comfy, as is the bed when it converts. Comes with two cushions for the back support on the couch, and the two wedge shape cushions can serve as ottomans when the piece is in sofa form.
This is a very cool piece that we found at a vintage store in the 90s and have loved for many years. We are downsizing and it's time for it to be loved by a new owner.
There are a total of 6 individual pieces to this set. The main couch is a half round piece, 83" wide, and 41.5" deep in couch form, and 24" high when the seat back is in sofa position. The back of the couch is attached to the sides for flipping into a bed.
There are two quarter-round pieces which make up the ottoman and the rest of the bed when the piece is opened up to a bed. These measure 28" wide and 28" long, 12" high each.
There is a half round seat cushion which is used for the seat when the piece is in sofa form. This measures 54" in length, 32" in width, and 4" deep.
Finally, there are two seat back bolster cushions which measure 40" width, 14" height, and 6" deep apiece.
The piece is 83" in diameter and 12" deep when in bed form.
