A very soothing mid-century modernist painting that captures a sun-drenched coastal village, executed in oil onto canvas.

The viewer is positioned atop a steep stone path that winds between whitewashed walls, terracotta roofs, and geometric stone facades, descending toward the vivid blue sea. Three figures clad in dark robes – possibly local women carrying items on their heads – add a quiet human rhythm to the otherwise architectural scene.

Rendered in flattened planes and simplified forms, the painting embraces a distinctly modernist approach. The brushwork is thick and confident, with textures and scumbled surfaces lending weight to the cobbled path and sky alike.
