Joan Miro (1893-1983) was born in Barcelona, Spain. He was an artist and writer who moved to Paris in 1920. Throughout his career, Miro worked in tapestries, ceramics, sculptures, and abstract paintings, and he is recognised as a pioneer of modernism.
Derrière le Miroir was a French art and literary magazine published from 1946 to 1982. It provided a forum for discussing and distributing original graphics. The lithographs in the magazine might have printing and text on the back.
