Joan Miro (1893-1983) was born in Barcelona, Spain. He was an artist and writer who moved to Paris in 1920. Throughout his career, Miro has worked in tapestries, ceramics, sculptures, and abstract paintings, and he is recognized as a pioneer of modernism.
Derrière le Miroir is a French art and literary magazine that was published from 1946 to 1982. It provided a forum for the discussion and distribution of original graphics. The lithographs in the magazine might have printing and text on the back.
