He began his career working for the Compagnie des Arts Français, a company specializing in the production of high-quality furniture. In the 1930s, he designed modernist furniture using industrial materials such as metal, glass and leather. He became famous for his work in the 1950s, when he designed interiors for luxury hotels, ocean liners and government offices. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
