A large art nouveau baccarat flower and leaf pattern pink acid etched bowl with brass foot. Floral cut to clear decoration featuring a textured fern leaf background with magenta pink overlay with art nouveau style flowers and leaves. With a richly decorated brass foot. High quality detail to the flowers and leaves is typical of baccarat craftsmanship. Art nouveau was born at the end of the 19th century as a reaction to the prolific and popular imitation of louis xv and louis xvi styles at the end of the second empire. this piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker.
