Louis XV commode of the early to mid 1700s.
An amazing molded edge marble top is cut with great skill to conform to the serpentine and bombe' case. Cast bronzes which are chased and gilded, are pinned to the case. The bombe' form case has a central dropped apron between flaring and curving legs terminating in ormolu bronze mounted feet. The case is veneered in exotic woods beautifully applied with banding around central herringbone veneers.
