This stunning platter titled METEOR by Massachusetts studio Glass Artist Charles Correll, signed and dated "Correll '88” is 18" diameter.
The deep purple plate has a polychrome meteor image in white, orange and blue.
Charles Correll started working with glass at the Jamestown Glasshouse in 1971, while attending the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. He has lived through the history of the studio glass movement, working at Nourot Glass Studio in California, then opening his first studio in Holyoke, Massachusetts. His works are displayed in craft and arts galleries nationwide. Currently he works in his studio in Conway, Massachusetts.
