Attributable to … Read more Silver-plated brass candy holder with a fully hammered surface, entirely hand-hammered, and a wavy top and bottom edge. Attributable to the circle of artists such as josef hoffmann and the vienna secession. Made and signed under the base with an incised key-shaped mark with the letters "b" and "e" on the sides, which are the initials of the berndorf esslingen manufactory, founded in germany in the early decades of the 20th century and renowned for the production of this type of metalwork. This was the first hallmark used for high-quality silver-plated items (alpacca-silber i), issued by the bmf branch in esslingen and used between 1919 and 1927. The key is approximately 7 mm long. The rectangle occupied by the letters "b" and "e" measures approximately 1.7 mm x 3.6 mm. An extremely rare manufacturer's mark. This piece has an attribution mark,
