Set of 8 vermeil cream soup spoons in the revered Marly pattern by Christofle. Finely crafted and richly gold-plated, these spoons are a testament to the enduring artistry and refinement of French silversmithing. Their generous, rounded bowls make them ideally suited for cream soups or elegant dessert service.
The Marly pattern, introduced by Christofle in 1897, remains one of the most intricate and celebrated designs in the house’s archive. Named for the Château de Marly—Louis XIV’s private retreat west of Paris—the pattern reflects the ornate spirit of the Rocaille style.
Asymmetrical scrolls, shell motifs, and trailing foliage are finely chased into each handle, showcasing Christofle’s exceptional craftsmanship and the decorative richness of the late Baroque era.
