This item is New Old Stock from an estate in Naples, Florida. I was told this item never came out of the box. The box is included in the sale and retains its three stickers: CYCLADIC ART MUSEUM....which is located in Athens, Greece.

This letter opener is well constructed with a thick and HEAVY solid piece of brass...this is not a flimsy item. Truly a rare unique desk item that will certainly strike up a conversation!

EXCELLENT CONDITION. There is some slight tarnishing to the brass with a very minor scratch that appears to have been made in manufacturing. This item sat in a box for many years and we left in "as found" condition, but can easily be hand polished if one desires a shinier finish.
