Unusual for this genre of mirrors, the expected pediment at the top (a triangular panel) has been curiously omitted, telling its symbolic narrative of abundance through delicate tendrils and grape clusters that wrap around the frame in French gray painted background. The foliate elements are bookended at the lower corners with rosettes which transition into the tall feet elevating and protecting the frame. Beaded molding on the interior surrounds the original mirror plate that shows a line of foxing toward the middle among other spots of textural oxidation. Strung with wire on the back, ready to hang in your interior. We believe this item to be in good antique condition considering its age, and any visible signs of wear are captured in the photos.
