Collection of 3 original handmade lithographs by Danish artist Axel Salto. Each hand signed and numbered 8/30. Paper from Saunders. Salto is best known for his stoneware pieces made for Royal Copenhagen and these lithographs all depicts some of his most famous models. All 3 are mounted in a passepartout, and has never been hung. Original portfolio with colophon signed by Salto and hand written letter from Swedish art historian Nils Palmgren (1890-1955). Provenance: Art historian Grethe Zahle (1907-2006) & Museum director Erik Zahle (1898-1969). Never been mounted. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor fading. Very good original condition. Portfolio faded. Each print is 40 x 45 cm. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
