It is by … Read more This is an original matted Art Deco illustration print of an elegant women dressed for the evening. It is by the well-known French artist, Jean-Gabriel Domergue. Jean-Gabriel Domergue's artistic talent catapulted his career into the mainstream at the early age of 17 when he exhibited at the Salon of French artists. He is known worldwide for his stylized images of women. He invented a new kind of femininity…slim, relaxed, gracious and always elegant, looking at the world with distinguished posture. He painted over 3000 portraits; these included nudes, fashion designs and portraitures of the aristocracy. His works in oil are very much in demand at art auction houses worldwide. This 1922 print features an aristocratic woman dressed in a long opulent evening coat. She is sophisticcted and refined, grand and classy, and will make her grand entrance with grace and beauty.
