A 1995 lithograph by the American artist Patrick Webb (born 1955). Titled "Sanctuary Day and Night," this work depicts an interior space at night and during the day. The room looks out on a cityscape and in both depictions Webb's signature Punchinello mask is visible. Unframed, the print is signed and dated to the lower right and numbered 8/400 to the lower left.
Born in New York City, Webb studied at the Maryland Institute College of art, where he received a BFA in 1976, and Yale University, where he received an MFA in 1979. He later went on to teach at the University of Wisconsin and Cornell University. Webb's works have been exhibited at the Bronx Museum, the Provincetown Art Museum, the Butler Institute of American Art, the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Art, among others.
