The vase base is meticulously handcrafted by the artisans at Royal Delft—the world’s oldest surviving Delftware manufacturer, founded in 1653 and still producing in the heart of Delft today. This piece is inspired by a 17th-century lidded jar made by the historic De Drie Posteleyne Astonne pottery, a rare original of which is held in the Royal Delft Museum. The result: a contemporary vessel grounded in centuries of Dutch ceramic heritage.

The vase is decorated in a richly detailed transfer print featuring cobalt blue birds and floral motifs—an elegant nod to classic Delft pottery traditions. Though not hand-painted, the refined composition reflects Royal Delft’s enduring legacy of excellence in design and craftsmanship.

Amitābha Studio then transformed the vase into a unique, handcrafted lamp, pairing it with a bespoke white lampshade trimmed in Delft blue. A matching blue fabric cord completes the piece with thoughtful precision.
