It was made mid 20th century in Italy. Great design, incorporating vibrant brown wood base with parcel gilt / gold covered carvings. Carvings are superb quality, leaves and flowers on the sides, and an amazing cartouche pediment adorns the top, flanked with ends of an broken-arch for symmetry. Back of the piece is stamped "Made in Italy". Please take another look at the carvings, they are gorgeous. Condition is very good, minor age / use if any (please see photos). The size of this baby is large 54" tall and 28" at widest point, while the viewing portion is 30" x 20". This is the style and color that goes with everything and anything, it will enhance any setting and be a topic of many conversations ! See less
