A striking street scene that depicts a neighbourhood with robust, urban buildings rendered in bold linear rhythm, executed in oil onto canvas and dated 1974.

The façades are portrayed in a schematic and stylised manner, as strong black outlines segment the pale grey and white surfaces. Set against a smooth grey street with cobblestone detailing, the scene is framed by brick pillars and a wrought-iron fence, suggesting a modest residential area. A lone tree, ablaze with orange and green leaves, punctuates the structured composition and introduces a vivid contrast—perhaps hinting at early autumn.

Executed in a modernist style, the work is characterised by its simplified forms, matte application, and confident brushwork. There is little modulation or blending – colours are laid down decisively, giving the piece a graphic, almost print-like clarity.
