A First Period Worcester Porcelain Leaf Molded Sauce Boat.
Circa, 1755-56. Modelled in the form of overlapping cos lettuce leaves. This form and decoration are based on Meissen porcelain.
Looped stem handle; decorated with scattered flower sprigs and finished with raised fruit near the handle juncture. Measures 8 5/8" x 4" x 4 7/8" tall. Good condition - very small flake at the rim does not detract.
