We found this little wine table in near perfect condition: well-crafted, sound, and sturdy, as solid oak furniture tends to … Read more We found this little wine table in near perfect condition: well-crafted, sound, and sturdy, as solid oak furniture tends to be; nicely designed and proportioned; small enough to be flexibly placed but large enough to be practical. Even the petite drawer on this quality crafted table was beautifully dove-tailed. (It provides plenty of room for your corkscrew, bottle openers, etc.) However, the table had that yellow-orange finish that was characteristic of oak furniture in the last century. After ploughing through several layers of varnish, we got back to the bare oak wood. We were reticent to cover up the nice oak grain entirely, yet we were also fearful about the prospective yellow tones of the oak -- so we decided to do a white limewash on the top of the table. The beautiful grain is visible, but with a decidedly NOT yellow tone. The base of the table is painted navy blue. (NOTE: All monitors show colors differently. This is a marine blue, not a royal blue or periwinkle blue as it might show up on some computers.) The table measures 28 inches high, 17 1/2 inches wide, and 12 1/2 inches deep. In order to save on shipping costs, this table will be shipped with the legs detached. They are easily reattached. See less
