This antique pedestal table was produced by Berkey & Gay, one of Grand Rapids’ most respected furniture firms, active during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Crafted circa 1895–1915, the table features richly figured flame mahogany veneer, a hallmark of American Victorian and early Colonial Revival design. Pieces like this were commonly used as lamp, side, or occasional tables in well-appointed parlors and sitting rooms, showcasing fine wood selection and elegant proportions. Its warm tone and sculptural pedestal base pair beautifully with traditional, grandmillennial, and transitional interiors.
