Mervin Jules (Baltimore, 1912-1994 Provincetown) "Together" color woodcut; pencil signed, titled and numbered 20 of 100. Combined shipping available: please inquire.
Mervin Jules was first educated at Baltimore City College and Maryland Institute of Fine and Applied Arts. He later studied with Thomas Hart Benton at the Art Students League in New York. He was a professor at Smith College for 20 years before moving to the City College of New York in 1969. He died in 1994 in Provincetown, MA where he maintained a studio.
His work is included in the MFA Boston, Art Institute of Chicago, Georgia Museum of Art, Portland Art Museum (OR), Brooklyn Museum and Weisman Art Museum.
