In 1919, he founded the C.A.B. … Read more In 1918, Jean Mérillon bought a pottery in Caudéran, on the outskirts of Bordeaux. In 1919, he founded the C.A.B. Céramique d'Art de Bordeaux earthenware factory. CAB developed avant-garde production, tinged with Art Nouveau and Art Deco styles, and participated in the great Primavera adventure by producing pieces for the Printemps department store. This large vase, with its oblong body and narrow neck, features a superb turquoise blue glaze with fine crackles. It is impressive for its size and the freshness and purity of its color. It is a typical piece of 1930s production, with a simple form that showcases the potters' expertise in glazing and mastery of firing.

The large vase is made of glazed ceramic and delicately earthenware, from the Art Deco period. It is stamped Primavera Made in France on the back and numbered 8790 bis. It is in very good condition, with an impressively deep color.
