Rare Ray Flores black leather boxing gloves with white leather thumbs. Original "Flores, San Francisco, CA" label and original drawer strings. Filled with horse hair. The leather is very soft and in good condition.

HISTORY

Ray Flores was a pro boxer in 1928 and 1929. Later, he became a boxing referee and west coast boxing glove maker. Flores supplied the fight gloves worn in championship bouts of the 1950's and 1960's. Sugar "Ray" Robinson, Carl "Bobo" Olson and Sonny Liston wore Flores gloves. See less
