A magnificent, rare and most unusual antique Moorish style bone, mother of pearl, shell & ebony inlaid carved wood library table in the manner of legendary designer Carlo Bugatti (Italian; 1856-1940)
Bold, imaginative, and full of intricate details, pushing the boundaries of design, featuring hand carved solid hardwood construction, having an architectural inspired hand turned baluster-form columnar gallery surmounted by spherical finials, atop the rectangular three board top with molded edge, over wide apron fitted with three drawers, raised on massive turned bulbous tapered legs terminating in bun feet.
Staying true to Bugatti’s one-of-a-kind masterpieces this table blends distinct Middle Eastern Orientalist style, Gothic ornamentation and classical architectural elements, with bold sculptural design, delicate carvings, exotic materials and geometric inlay artistry!
