Offered is a 1970s thick lucite / resin faux tortoiseshell tray by Rede Guzzini.
When held up against light, one can see its fiery amber and espresso colored swirls and feel its weight and thick construction. While the steel clamp handle is reminiscent of the modernist tortoiseshell pieces designed by Willy Rizzo for Maison Christian Dior, there is evidence of numerous prominent designers collaborating with Guzzini to use their proprietary techniques with acrylic resins.

We've tried to show this subtle defect from all angles. There are no scratches or cracks or chips on the upper surface, there are very minor scuffs on the undersurface but they are hard to see. Please hand wash this item with room temperature water and towel dry. Never place lucite in a dishwasher, and avoid extreme temperatures. Any wear is commensurate with use. less
