Svend Aage Madsen for Sigurd Hansens Møbelfabrik in model 88. A freestanding desk that in this version is entirely made of teak and the model is relatively unusual.
The desk has five drawers with longitudinal handles and a bookshelf on the back.
The legs are cockily angled and are on the outside, which gives the furniture an extra lift! On the back of the desk there is a bookshelf for books, small items, etc. There is also an extra shelf that is movable and removable.
The cockpit is substantial, a full 56 cm wide, and provides good space even for a wider chair.
The drawers are made entirely of wood and have integrated handles. The top drawer on the left side has a folding front and becomes an extra storage surface when pulled out. The one below is large and substantial with the possibility of storing larger things.
The desk is also suitable for standing freestanding in a room or against a wall.
A very well-made and expensive piece of furniture with many fine details and an expression beyond the ordinary!
All drawers are stamped under each drawer bottom.
155x75x73 cm.
In very good condition with only very minor signs of use.
