Harlequin and Pierrot are hand-painted by Suzanne Estelle Apoil who was a French porcelain artist who worked for Sevres in the 1800’s. Unfortunately this footed plate is not signed other than by the artist. The color is the stunning “blu celeste” vivid turquoise with gold gilt foliage and insets of hand painted instruments.
