This Balloon Chair was designed by Hans Olsen for the Danish company LEA A/S in the 1950s.
The frame is made of black lacquered tubular steel, and the chair itself, including the seat shell, is covered in black imitation leather. The armrests are made of oiled teak - this minimalist design is typical of Scandinavian design of the 1950s.
