This Really is a Great Looking Authentic Antique American Country Primitive Stoneware Food Storage Jar - Crock. Circa Mid 19th Century. 1 Gallon Storage Capacity Size. It has a Classic American Salt Glaze Exterior on a Stone Grey Body. It is Beautifully Hand Decorated with a Total of 3 Large Navy Blue Stylized Flower Designs. It has No Maker or Other Markings but the Maker Can Easily Be Attributed to Henry Remmey in Philadelphia Pennsylvania. It is in Very Good Condition and it Displays Beautifully. Imperfection Noted - It has a Very Fine - Tight Hairline Crack at the Lower Side and Bottom Area but it is Strong, Sound & Perfectly Usable. This Can Best be Seen in My Last - 18th Photograph. These Types of Stoneware Items were Made for Everyday Utilitarian Use and Minor Imperfections Such as These are Quite Common. There is Some Color & Texture Variations to the Salt Glaze Exterior - These Also Being Quite Common. Surface Glaze Imperfections Occurred in the Making - Kiln Firing Process as Stoneware Pieces Such a These were Fired in Very Large Kilns with Many Other Pieces at the Same Time - In Large Batches.
