Extremely rare early edition of the iconic "Ninfea" folding chair, designed by Gio Ponti and produced by Fratelli Reguitti in Italy during the 1950s. This model is considered one of the earliest iterations of the design—possibly the first edition—characterized by X-frame mahogany side jambs with integrated handles and a refined hand-woven rattan seat and backrest.
The chairs are not only elegant but also ingeniously functional, reflecting Ponti's vision of combining form and practicality. This design was featured in Domus, November 1958, and remains one of the most sought-after examples of post-war Italian design.
