Although the photos show two columns there is only 1 available. It features a tall (42.5" ) rectangular profile composed in tessellated shell, seamlessly assembled and with subtle variations in value and hue throughout. Maitland Smith is well known for utilizing this technique and material during this period of production, of which this Pedestal is an excellent example.
