Iittala, founded as a glassworks in 1881, is a Finnish design brand specialising in design objects, tableware and cookware. Tapio Wirkkala's line with Iittala was launched in 1954. He was very prolific and produced a wide range of designs, including for Venini, in Italy, and Rosenthal, in Germany, among other famous producers of glass and porcelain. He won many awards and was particularly noted for his designs of the Finlandia vodka bottle and for Iittala's Ultima Thule set of glasses. See less
