Beautiful, hand-carved wooden kibachi (木鉢), traditionally used for kneading dough.
Dimensions: Height 15 cm, diameter 50 cm.
The deep, rounded form and generous size make this bowl a rare and functional piece from the Taishō period.
The exterior is coated in black lacquer, displaying a subtle patina of age and use. The interior glows in a warm chestnut red, with a soft sheen from weathered urushi lacquer. The vibrant wood grain, visible in the hand-carved surface, gives the bowl a unique character.
