This striking Postmodern desk, titled “Hommage à Mondrian”, was designed by Danilo Silvestrin and edited by Rosenthal in 1986. Inspired by Mondrian’s geometric abstraction, the desk features five interlocking rectangular elements in lacquered MDF with a primary color palette—red, blue, black, and grey.
The piece is composed of three upright supports and a cantilever-style brace. Please note: the original tabletop is missing and has been replaced with a non-original tray. Despite this, the structure remains visually impactful and collectible. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
