1960's Danish Poul Hundevad folding footstool in oak and leather seat Poul Hundevads footstool was an almost exact copy of … Read more 1960's Danish Poul Hundevad folding footstool in oak and leather seat Poul Hundevads footstool was an almost exact copy of of the almost intact 3500 years old "Guldhøj" footstool that was found during an excavation in 1891 and is considered to be the only fully preserved European bronze age chair.
The footstool is in excellent condition as it has been checked and refinished by our cabinetmaker without removing the patina from many years of use that gives the footstool it's unique character. The original leathered seat was too damaged why it has been replaced with a new handcrafted piece of very thick and strong top quality leather that will be able to follow the stool for the next many, many years.
