This is a matted French Art Deco 1931 print that came from an unbound album of interior room wall paper … more This is a matted French Art Deco 1931 print that came from an unbound album of interior room wall paper designs. It features the look of Modernistic home styling. This image is for a bedroom. Note the patterning in the wall paper and its contrasting designs. Note too the mirrored table, the vanity dresser and the stylized window frame. The color palette is strong; the silver color tones are done in metallic ink (difficult to see in my picture scans). Metallic inks were used in lithography during the Art Deco years and were rare and specific to this period. It is signed with the artist’s initials in lower right. The image is in horizontal format, 11 x 8.75 inches in size. Comes matted in a white 16 x 20 inch custom mat ready for a standard size frame. Please allow time for custom matting.
