Regency style chair from Highland House in perfect condition. Black lacquered wood with gold leaf/gilt accents. Arm detailing of carved laurel or acanthus leaves. Original upholstery fabric with high quality off-white background and blue chinoiserie vase motif.
Purchased from Gabberts Fine Furnishings in Minneapolis Minnesota approximately 20 years ago. May have been part of a Highland House Designer Collection for interior designers looking for timeless statement chairs. Gabberts mentioned it being the Queen Elizabeth chair and the tags under the seat cushion mention "Elizabeth."
