C.1950s-60's; Mid-Century, Italian hand-blown, Carlo Scarpa for Venini, square cut, round radius or rounded, deep coved catchall bowl in a … Read more C.1950s-60's; Mid-Century, Italian hand-blown, Carlo Scarpa for Venini, square cut, round radius or rounded, deep coved catchall bowl in a kelly green, and aqua coloration, with gilt gold leaf flecked inclusions, with minute or minuscule bubble inclusions. The maker's markings are on the underside, of the polished pontil base bottom. It states, Venini Murano Italia. It is a gorgeous example of many Venini Murano bowls, which were made in this exact shape, with rounded edging to the top lip perimeter, with similar, deep coved well interior, is tantamount to their identity, notwithstanding, their long-standing following, part and partial to their quality and craftsmanship, the Venini Foundry is known for, especially during it's heyday. These bowls came in many sizes, from small, ring or pin dishes, small bowls, or, this medium of of a well-rounded size. They are known for having made some of the best chandeliers, table and floor lamps, not including decorative accessories, such as this bowl is. Each and every Murano Glass blower has their own identity, be it in the markings, the stylistic and identifying design approach, to the Art of Murano Glass blowing.
