This is a RARE PAIR of French Art Deco interior decor prints that showcase wallpaper designs for home office work … Read more This is a RARE PAIR of French Art Deco interior decor prints that showcase wallpaper designs for home office work space. They date to 1934-35 and were purchased by us in Paris. They came from an unbound album featuring a practical approach to Modernism. The various wallpaper patterns compliment the classic Art Deco furnishings. Each plate features a home office or work space area. Note the wall panels, the desk work space, the wall decor, and the period furnishings. They are done in strong vivid color tones. Also note the use of metallic silver in both the frame outlines as well as in the wallpaper patterns and accessories (desk lights, etc.) These are rare and specific to prints of the Art Deco years. The images are in a horizontal format measuring 10.25 x 8.75 inches. Each design is set in a multilayered "frame" with the metallic ink highlights. Furthermore, the design is centered on richly patterned thick stock which further enances the image. The room settings are "named" and described. Excellent condition. These images are quite detailed and should be viewed close-up to be appreciated. Together the 2 prints make for unique home wall decor. (See other prints from this series in our shop.) See less
